Home Renovations in Queenstown

Many Queenstown homes were built before warmth and energy efficiency were a priority. DCD specialises in high-performance home renovations that transform cold, draughty houses into warm, healthy, airtight homes of lasting value, without compromising on architecture or craftsmanship.

Our renovation projects across Queenstown, Dalefield and Fernhill show what is possible. At Hillview in Fernhill, we removed the interior linings of a 1970s alpine home to install superior insulation, and replaced single-glazed windows with triple-glazed timber-aluminium joinery, creating a thermally efficient, open-plan family home. The project received a Registered Master Builders Gold Award in 2025. We also extend existing homes, as we did with The Barn, a self-contained addition lined in virgin and reclaimed Rimu.

Every DCD renovation is built on the same principles as our award-winning new homes: better insulation, airtight construction, high-performance glazing and effective ventilation. The result is a home that is easier to heat, more comfortable year-round and healthier to live in.
